Enterprise week is a success

South Kesteven District Council’s Enterprise week, held between the 10th and 17th September has been hailed a success.

The events

The week of events held in Bourne, Grantham, Marketing Deeping and Stamford were attended by local business owners and budding entrepreneurs. It included a number of commercial workshops to help the enterprising people of South Kesteven make the most of their business on tight budgets and to take advantage of new ways of doing business.

It also included a trade fair, where local companies were given the opportunity to have stands to showcase their work and for local jobseekers to speak to people from these companies for advice on CV building, interview technique and exactly what it takes to work for one of them.

The biggest highlight of the week was the entrepreneur competition, which 22 of South Kesteven’s brightest business brains competed for a prize package worth around £10,000. Clich, a group of entrepreneurs won the prize with their unique Handy Mat, designed to make nail painting on the move much easier. The prize package included a year’s worth of free virtual office space and 6 months free use of a commercial workspace which will help Clich as they secure deals to get into major high street stores. King Street Industrial Estate always encourages enterprise and is an ideal place to help your small or medium size enterprise to grow and develop.
